Cougar
Chinook, a young orphaned female cougar was found in January 2006. She was surviving by raiding groceries from cars while they were being unloaded. Local residents succeeded in luring her into a garage and called Washington State Fish & Wildlife who brought her to the Northwest Raptor Center. She was underweight when she arrived, but that was only temporary. IN April 2006, she was transferred to the Oregon Zoo in Portland, Oregon, where she is now the larger of two cougars in the Cougar Crossing Exhibit.
